Holders of a wristband for the programmes organised by the Janus Pannonius Museum for the Night of Museums, can purchase admission tickets for HUF 2000.

Basilica of Pécs: Sounds of Pécs - A unique musical pleasure walk from the Basilica of Pécs to the Kodály Centre. Please note that this event is subject to cancellation in bad weather.
This event, led by the co-host of our Flirt Series, András Kövér (Kövi) and tour guide Zsuzsi Szilágyi, is a delightful journey through the musical history of Pécs. An exciting and fun walk, spiced with surprises on the star tendril of the musical memorials of Pécs led by the co-host of our Flirt Series, András Kövér (Kövi) and tour guide Zsuzsi Szilágyi.

House Roaming and Secret Hunt with the Musicians of the PFZ.
This event offers a unique opportunity to explore the backstage and secret places of the Kodály Centre, guided by the musicians themselves.The orchestra members are eagerly awaiting the 'free roamers' of the backstage in the lobby and some secret places of the Kodály Centre. We can delve into behind-the-scenes secrets, try our hands on the instruments, and even win a surprise gift as Secret Hunters connecting with the most musicians.

Balokány Grove: Quintessence with Gergely Kesselyák (Rain venue: Kodály Centre, Room 103)
Get ready for an engaging conversation with the esteemed chief conductor Gergely Kesselyák and Director Zsolt Horváth about the upcoming concerts of PFZ's next season, 'Secret', the mysteries of creative work, and Kesselyák's composition, which is set to premiere that very evening in Pécs. At the end of the conversation, we will have the privilege to meet the Association for Pécs' Music and Musicians, founded by the Lickl-prize winners of the Pannon Philharmonic. The musical inserts played by PFZ's wind quintet will add a vibrant touch to the conversation.

8 pm - 8.45 pm: Concert Part I
Transfigured Night with Poetry, Music and Animation
The musicians of the Pannon Philharmonic will take part in a high-quality audition at the beginning of June. The orchestral material of the audition requiring individual preparation is Schoenberg's Transfigured Night, an early piece written before the composer's atonal art and an excellent example of the "Beautiful 20th century" sought by Gergely Kesselyák. Through the performance of this challenging work, the musicians will showcase the present state of their preparedness before an independent professional jury. However, the orchestra will not stop inside the walls of the rehearsal room and they will perform the piece for a broad audience on 22 June. Thanks to renowned actors, another special feature of the piece at the centre of the evening will be the performance of Richard Dehmel's poem "Transfigured Night", which inspired the composition.
The students of SZFE's opera director Gergely Kesselyák and PTE's digital art students under the tuition of Balázs Kovács will create an animation together. Gergely Kesselyák will conduct the work. Zsófia Papp, student of Graphic Design, Richárd Késmárki, student of Communication and Media Studies, Balázs Kovács, lecturer, PTE-MK Electronic Music Media Art and Kristóf Weber, composer, are going to contribute to the creation and screening of Transfigured Night. The performance is conducted by Gergely Kesselyák.

9.30 pm – 10.15 pm Concert Part II
Merry Summer Night Mass
In the second half of the concert, we can enjoy another gorgeous 20th-century piece: the audience of Pécs can hear Gergely Kesselyák's own work, Missa Allegra, for the first time, which the conductor and opera director, also a composer, wrote in his twenties. Among others, the Festival Choir of the Pannon Philharmonic is engaged in performing this merry mass.
The concert is open to the public with a ticket. Ticket price: 3000 HUF.

The buffet of the Kodály Centre offers special alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshment for this evening, which can be enjoyed sitting, standing and lounging in the buffet and on the space in front of the concert hall, on the stairs, in the park and on the roof terrace. A unique gastronomic experience awaits the audience: for the evening, as Gergely Kesselyák has created an exclusive PFZ-spritzer which will also be available at the buffet.

Chamber Hall Left: Night Photo Show with A Midsummer Night's Dream
In the Chamber Hall of the Kodály Centre, visitors interested in art can enjoy the works of Zsolt Dékány, the official photographer of PFZ, taken at night, in nature and urban spaces while listening to Mendelssohn's A Midsummer Night's Dream.
